Kachina Weaver, Founder and Principal of Weaver Strategies, is a seasoned lobbyist and accomplished government affairs leader, with over two decades in the public policy arena working to influence legislation and regulations. She has held a number of key positions that have provided her opportunities to see public policy and politics from multiple levels and perspectives.

Ms. Weaver most recently served as the Deputy Legislative Director to Governor Jared Polis, focused on helping achieve his goals and collaborating with the Legislature on their public policy priorities. Her understanding of this executive branch’s style of government is unparalleled. She has also served as the Senior Political consultant for Aponte & Busam; Chief Strategic Policy Officer for the Department of Higher Education; Policy Advisor for former-Speaker Mark Ferrandino; State Relations Manager for the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities; and Policy Advisor for Former-Senator Thomas P. Gaffey. In addition, she has earned her Baccalaureate Degree in Finance from Charter Oak State College in Connecticut.

Ms. Weaver is proud of her strong relationships with legislators on both sides of the aisle and recognizes these as critical to her successes. She knows how to build solid relationships with candidates during election season and new legislators as they are seated, as well as new agency leaders and staff as they take the helm. Additionally, she has built robust relationships with current state agency leaders and staff, legislative staff, Governor’s Office personnel, and other lobbyists – and is known as a talented coalition builder and shrewd negotiator.
